Assisted Living Facility in Arizona
5 locations in Surprise, Goodyear and Mesa Arizona
What Our Dear Customers Have To Say
Choosing the Right Assisted Living or Memory Care Home is a Huge Decision. So Why Us?
At A Paradise for Parents, we treat your family as part of our family. Our assisted living and memory care staff will treat your parents and loved ones as if they were our parents and loved ones. Our 5 memory care and assisted living homes around Phoenix in Surprise (3 locations), Goodyear and Mesa Arizona really work to improve the health of your loved one through lifestyle changes, such as very healthy diets and exercise. And we’re seeing amazing results!
We are also working with outside companies such as Apollo Health and A Mind for All Seasons to implement the Bredesen Protocol and Enhance Protocol with some of our residents. These protocols have actually improved the memory of some of our residents with Dementia and Alzheimer’s.
We put the "living" in assisted living and memory care!
As you can see from these pictures of our latest activities, we love helping our residents lead as active a lifestyle as they can. We feed our residents healthy diets, we have them exercise, and we implement other lifestyle changes that really make a difference in the health of our residents.
You can learn more about our programs by clicking on our ‘Services’ menu at the top of this web page and then choosing Assisted Living, Memory Care or Long-Term Care.
We try to provide our assisted living residents with a host of activities that are commensurate with their abilities and desires. Even if they have memory care issues, we have activities that will still keep them stimulated.
And we try to engage many residents at once. In addition to using diet, exercise and other interventions, we believe in the health benefits of spending time with other happy people are enormous. Of course, we also respect resident’s privacy if they need time alone as well.
We have a personal trainer that either comes to the home or does a virtual workout 3-5 times a week with the residents. The training is done in a group setting so it becomes a social gathering. We’ve had some success with moving people out of bed and wheelchairs and into walking more independently.
Our assisted living and memory care homes are in quiet residential neighborhoods around Phoenix so we try to have our residents go outside as much as we can (other than the crazy hot Phoenix Arizona summers!). That means walks around the neighborhood or time spent in our landscaped back yards.
Besides activities in the homes, we’d like to take your loved one out on field trips from time to time (assuming your they are up for the trip). This could mean anything from dining at local restaurants to:
- Boat trips on Lake Pleasant from our Surprise, AZ and Goodyear, AZ locations (sometimes Mesa Arizona as well)
- Air Shows at Luke Air Force Base near Surprise, Arizona and Goodyear, Arizona
- Shopping at local malls around Surprise AZ, Goodyear AZ and Mesa AZ
- Spring training baseball games in Surprise Arizona, Goodyear Arizona and Mesa Arizona

- A trip to the movie theater in Surprise AZ, Goodyear AZ and Mesa AZ

Frequently Asked Questions
What levels of care does A Paradise for Parents offer?
We provide assisted living services for all care levels through memory care. We specialize in caring for individuals with dementia and other cognitive conditions. We do not provide behavioral health services. We can also accept residents on hospice care. While we can accommodate residents who wander, we are unable to admit individuals with combative behaviors.
What meals are provided?
All meals are included in our monthly rate. Our health coach works directly with our culinary team to ensure nutritionally optimized meals, with special attention to residents with dementia and other chronic diseases. Many of our residents follow a low-carb ketogenic diet, which has been shown to support brain health and improve cognitive function. We customize meals to meet individual health needs and preferences
What activities and wellness programs are available?
We offer comprehensive wellness and lifestyle programming. Our certified personal trainer leads exercise sessions 4-5 days per week tailored to each resident's abilities. We maintain raised garden beds where residents can participate in gardening activities. We organize regular field trips including events like spring training games, zoo visits, Luke Air Force Base airshows, and boat rides around Lake Pleasant. We also offer specialized wellness therapies including hyperbaric oxygen therapy, sauna access, red light therapy, and exercise with oxygen therapy
What is your staffing model?
We maintain a low resident-to-staff ratio to ensure quality care and personalized attention. During the day, we have at least 2 caregivers on staff, often 3 depending on care needs and occupancy. At night, we have one caregiver on duty who performs wellness checks on residents approximately every 2 hours. A contracted nurse visits regularly, and we have a mobile physician who conducts visits at no additional charge to residents.
What is the capacity of your facility?
Our facility is licensed for up to 10 residents, which allows us to maintain a small, intimate community setting. We offer a mix of private and semi-private rooms to meet individual preferences and needs.
What medical support services are available?
We have a contracted nurse on staff and a mobile physician who makes regular visits at no extra charge. A mobile pharmacy automatically sends prescriptions to our facility. We coordinate closely with local hospitals and medical facilities for specialized care. We also contract with a mobile transportation service that provides discounted rides for residents who need medical appointments or other transportation
What makes your facility's approach to nutrition special?
Our health coach specializes in nutrition for dementia care and chronic disease management. We've had remarkable success with our low-carb ketogenic diet approach—many residents have experienced significant health improvements, with some losing 70-200 pounds. More impressively, we've sent 6 residents home because they became too healthy to require assisted living. Our health coach helps manage chronic conditions through evidence-based nutritional protocols.
Do you accept residents on hospice care?
Yes, we can accept residents who are on hospice care and provide a compassionate, supportive environment during this time.
Where are you located and what makes the Sun City and El Mirage area good for seniors?
We are located in Sun City and El Mirage, which are vibrant communities for seniors. The area offers a warm Arizona climate year-round, excellent access to medical facilities, diverse shopping and dining options, and numerous recreational opportunities. Many families have roots in the community, making it convenient for residents to maintain close connections with loved ones.
What hospitals and medical facilities are nearby?

What payment options and insurance do you accept?
We accept ALTCS Medicaid (Arizona Long-Term Care System), United Health, Mercy Care, Veterans Administration Aid and Attendance benefits, and private long-term care insurance policies. Many families also pay privately for their loved one’s care
How much does assisted living cost?
